Job Description
The Arizona School of Real Estate and Business is growing and we are looking to add to our talented team of professionals with a Staff Accountant / HR Assistant. The Staff Accountant/HR Assistant is responsible for: accounts payable, receivables, monthly closing and financial reporting, including analyzing variances in actual results to plan; maintaining Company Inventory; and fixed Assets. This position is also involved in the Companys Annual Budget and Forecast reporting. Additionally, the position is responsible for some basic HR responsibilities including things like new hire paperwork and on:boarding of new associates.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
:Work closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager on accounting duties for ASREB.
:Audit and research any accounts payable invoices prior to sending to corporate for payment. Track all accounts payable expenses.
:Be the main corporate contact for ASREB for all accounting and inventory related matters. Monitor inventory at all ASREB sites.
:Maintain all ASREB contracts and vendor agreements.
:Responsible for placing all inventory orders, doing inventory counts, petty cash counts and keeping our Real Ed system updated and correct.
:Monitor Real Ed and making sure products we are selling are set up and priced correctly
:Responsible for all the advertising and event billing in AZ and all the collections work. And they can finish getting everything into Real ed so we can bill out of Real Ed
:Responsible for managing all ASREB accounts receivables.
:Enforce policies and practices and create new P and Ps where needed
:Other projects as assigned
:Attend meetings, events, training, etc. as needed.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Director of Human resources on various HR related tasks for the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business.
Work with new faculty and staff to collect all new hire paperwork, ensuring that it all filled out accurately.
Manage the background checking process and transcript request for ASREB faculty and staff per our policies.
Understand and review all benefit offerings to new associates. Follow:up to ensure that associates have elected or waived benefits in a timely manner.
Assist with ASREB unemployment and workers compensation claims.
Set up new associate and faculty files and ensure that employee files are complete and everything is correctly filed
:Manage transcript request process for new associates/faculty
:Print off and confirm background checks (NBCI)
:Maintain and archive as needed current associate/faculty files.
:Assist in setting up and updating employee information in ADP / HRIS system.
:Be a resource for associate questions on benefits, payroll and policies.
:Order new employee business cards and assist with on:boarding / new employee welcomes
:Attend weekly meetings with the HR staff and keep corporate updated on any associate or faculty issues that need to addressed.
:Assist with associate events and recognition activities
:Assemble New Hire / benefits packets
:Assemble recruiting packets
:Assist with tracking and filing of paperwork for various HR areas.
:Assist with various HR projects (updating job descriptions, company events, employee communications, wellness, creating interactive forms, etc.).
:Assist with recruiting efforts for ASREB as needed.
:Submit progress reports and attend staff meetings.
:Attend meetings, events, training, etc. as needed.
:Other duties as assigned.

A Bachelors degree in accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. A minimum of three:five years of experience in accounting and financial analysis required. Experience with databases, Excel and various financial software packages required. Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts
