This antique coal miners carbide light is from the 1930’s-40’s. It is made of brass and sits approx. 4" tall. This belonged to my dad who was a Underground Coal Miner in Illinois. Coal was hand dug at that time, no machines. Embossed on the bottom is "Universal Lamp Co. Springfield, ILL - Made in USA". We have not tested it to see if it works. It was last used by my dad in the early 1950’s before he passed away. Please check pictures for condition. Has some dents, etc from use. It is in very good condition for it’ age. $65.00 or best offer
