This is a clean rust free Arizona part with original factory assembly line paint and identification paint dabs! No grinding, wire brushed, media blast or any other means to clean it other than hand washed by me! This is one of the nicest 1955 Chevy Bel Air Rear End Differential Cases I have ever found! Mint virgin concours points condition! "Detroit axle and gear" casting 3707306 GM 8 and stamped AA (upside down T) 0 5 This is a 3.70 gear ratio and was installed in 3 speed manual transmission cars with either the 235 six cylinder, or the V8 265 - 2V & 265 Plus-Power 4V engines used in the Bel Air , Nomad wagon , Series 150 , Series 210 cars. It is ready to be built! Here is a description of the paint dabs and stamping's, all actual pictures from every angle. Yellow O inside, yellow 3 outside top behind the yoke, blue dab behind the yellow 3, blue 66 on bottom along the center line. Has a 2 stamped inside the lower half of the yellow 3, I also found another stamp of H 4 located just below the top center mounting hole above the horizontal stiffening rib just to the right of the vertical rib as pictured. I disassembled this 3rd member for the 3.70 thin ring and pinion to use on a 4 series Powr Lok posi, this is why the case is for sale. All the bolts and spanner adjusters spin with ease with no effort! $150 cash local pick up or shipped via PayPal. No text! Call 602-820-9249
