Job DescriptionJob Summary As a member of the Data Team, the Data Engineer will work on the construction and maintenance of cloud-based interfaces with our partners and customers, including the automation of workflows and quality checks. In addition, assist the team in leveraging our cloud enterprise data warehouse solution to support our expanding needs, including analytics and reporting. Â Contribute to the long-term strategy and technical architecture, as well as the short-term scope for a multi-phased data integration plan. Essential Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the efficient, compliant, timely, and secure acquisition, integration, provision, and exchange of data, be it via file exchange or API, and including into and out of SQL, Salesforce, and other company platforms.Conduct quality reviews and analyses of various incoming data to ensure all fields comply with corporate content policy and data governance standards.Prepare data for load into Soleras systems, and schedule/conduct data hand-off meetings with appropriate internal teams.Prepare and distribute data load statistics and status updates to the stakeholders and/or reports through our reporting platform.Assess and document the structure, quality, and compliance of data source data and coordinate with business and technology staff to identify and resolve issues.Monitor and administer automated and manual data integration and automated workflows to verify execution and measure performance; build reports to audit, monitor and validate data.Take an active role in monitoring all data integration projects; working with other personnel to replicate, troubleshoot, or resolve technical issues, escalating as necessary. Expected Skills and CompetenciesSound understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.Sound understanding of object oriented programming, coding standards and patterns.Sound understanding of cloud platforms and PaaS implementations, especially on Azure.Knowledge of RDBMS and data modeling.Passion for the data quality discipline.Meticulous in approach to work and outstanding attention to detail.Able to interpret and express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbal and written.Take initiative, work flexibly, and adhere to priorities with minimal supervision.Work in a cross-functional team environment by collaborating with others and sharing tools, skills, and knowledge. Education and QualificationsBachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.Minimum 4 years of experience working with high-volume data exchange and transaction processing systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.Minimum 4 years of experience integrating large (1M+ rows) structured and unstructured data in multiple formats, character sets, and delivery methods.Preferred Experience:Experience with Microsoft Azure.Experience with Microsoft c#.Net and Visual Studio.Experience with T-SQL development skills in a multi-tier, SOA environment.Expertise in flat file formats, XML within SQL, and file format conversion.Expertise in XML and Soap/REST.Expertise integrating Salesforce with external systems using SOAP/REST web services.
