Agency is seeking a Lead Developer for the encounters team. The selected individual will work with a team that handles the medical encounters (claims) that are processed through AHCCCS to DDD. Agency is seeking team lead who can manage the project and understand the inner workings of the application and occasionally code when necessary. The encounters come over in large data files from AHCCCS based on the medical and behavioral health appointments that members have. Those files are automatically uploaded by FOCUS. They go through a series of HIPPA compliant and EDI format processes to prove capitation. The FOCUS application is in a steady state of upgrade in various areas and we are currently gearing up for a large project to upgrade the HCPC section. We need a Lead developer who can lead and work alongside the team. Description of Duties:Oversee full spectrum of project management and software development life cycle for Division of Developmental Disabilities Projects. Review all project documents generated through the System Development Methodology for accuracy and completeness. Designs, prepares, tests and debugs web program coding for business applications. Possess strong SQL skills and implements best practices. Reviews coded and compiled structured programs. Prepares test data and conducts unit testing to ensure compliance to specifications. Responsible for development of project plans, project scheduling, employee assignment and accountability of project tasks. Analyzes automation requests. Creates workplans, develops schedules, and develops time and cost estimates for projects. : 20 of total work effortDefine scope, establish timelines and track milestones and completion dates for projects. Creates all required SDM technical documents: Functional Specs, Design docs, etc. As an active team member, interfaces with users to gain understanding necessary for enhancements, maintenance, and problem resolution for existing applications; and maintains continuous awareness of users plans/activities relevant to the project. : 10 of total work effortSupport leadership by providing status reports, risk evaluation and planning support. Translates requirements and specs into computer programs; designs, codes, analyzes, tests and documents computer software programs and systems using full life cycle development techniques. Prepares routine periodic project status reports and communicates with customers, as needed.
