Job DescriptionJob Summary Responsible for managing and leading a team in the development, maintenance and support of TriWest business applications. Works closely with customers, external colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify and maximize software functionality, integration, and change. Oversees systems analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance, and release/change management for TriWest business applications. Provide technical advice and direction.Education & Experience Required o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experienceo 5 years IT management experienceo 5 years experience in planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of application systems across multiple hardware and software platformso 3+ years experience in business application designo 3+ years experience in application development, maintenance and support of a software suite like BizFlow BPM Plus.o Strong Interpersonal skills are required to deal with internal and external contactso Strong Customer Service Orientationo Health care industry experiencePreferred o Experience working on a BPMS in a call center environment or in a healthcare environment.o Knowledge of CSS, HTMLo Experience with Windows 2008 Server(or later) OS Utilities, Apache, Tomcato Experience in developing business processes using a BPMS like BizFlow Plus BPMKey Responsibilities o Develops and maintains consistent communication with the business process owners to determine requirements and ensure that software and maintenance activities meet needs and resolve system issues.o Provides feasibility studies, analysis, and recommendations regarding packaged software and hardware to increase the effectiveness of TriWest operations.o Assesses customer requirements; analyzes the architecture of business events and data that supports the architecture, evaluates solutions, determines resource requirements, and presents recommendations to the business process ownero Oversees the development of short- and long-range objectives and tactical plans to satisfy systems needs.o Plans, builds, recommends, monitors and controls assigned part of IT budget.o Ensures cost-effective engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of Medical applications in support of business and information objectives and requirements.o Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with hardware, software, consultant, and employee resource vendors to insure that TriWest systems are adequately supported and external opportunities are understood and considered in the planning process.o Negotiates contracts and agreements. o Ensure appropriate security requirements are an integral part of the design, development, and ongoing support of all application solutions.o Maximizes existing hardware and software capabilities and introduces new modules and packages to support changing business requirements.o Manages implementation and upgrade projects for all purchased systems.o Manages growth and promotes usage and understanding of software capabilities and processes.o Establishes and reinforces SDLC and industry standards best practices.o Manages all aspects of systems analysis, installation, maintenance, and enhancement of critical applications such as PeopleSoft and BizFlow Plus BPMS within budget.o Ensures cost-effective engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of critical applications such as PeopleSoft and BizFlow Plus BPMS to support of objectives and technical requirements.o Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with vendors to insure proper systems support and planning. Negotiates contracts and agreements.o Maintains organization balance and system coherency between front-end desktop/client environment and back-end processing functions, managing installations and/or providing guidance to desktop support staff and Data Base Administrator. o Provides functional, technical, and hands-on programming support as needed.o Participates in application-related steering committees and user groups.o Performs other duties as assigned.o Regular and reliable attendance is required.o As needed, assist with application development.Company DescriptionTaking Care of our Nation's Heroes.
