Amazon is looking for a Network Engineer with deep understanding of local area, wide area and wireless networking, scripting, multiple networking protocols, packet capture, security and monitoring to support the global IT Remote Support Services (ITRSS) team. Overview: This role is a member of the global IT Remote Support Services (ITRSS) group which is the initial point of contact for all technical issues in our fulfillment and transportation sites. ITRSS is responsible for providing Tier 1 to Tier 3 support and technology implementations including server and network infrastructure, robotics, escalations and other specialized technical services. The support provided by this team will have global reach and support tens of thousands of Amazon employees. This team will serve as an escalation point for complex issues, optimization of services through the development of automation and remote support technologies. Success can measured by your ability to deep dive into complex issues and devise automated solutions to repeated problems. Amazon is an Equal Opportunity:Affirmative Action Employer : Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation BachelorA?s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3 years of Amazon work experience.Professional working fluency in French language.3+ years of experience with TCP/IP stack and its internals as well as related troubleshooting tools (connectivity verification, packet capture etc.)3+ years of experience with networking hardware platforms such as routers, switches and firewalls in a large enterprise environment.3+ years of experience with routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP and STP in a large enterprise environment.Masters in CS or related degree (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.3+ years of experience with enterprise 802.11 wireless networking in a large enterprise environment.Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.A solid understanding of security fundamentals and secure networks.Proficient with Python, capable with Perl, and familiar with C, C++, and Java.Demonstrated ability to automate basic tasks in Perl, Python, Ruby or Java.CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/JNCIS certifications a plus.
