Ideal for recent college graduates who majored in Business, Finance or Accounting. Custody Operations Specialists responsibilities include: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our advisor/client needs through note quality, decision making, problem resolution, first:time accuracy, timely processing, and process improvements. Accurate execution of daily processes within established deadlines Accurately processing in:kind transfers including ability to review all aspects of the request to determine next steps, reconciling against expected assets, applying cost basis to all taxable asset transfers, placing trades as needed, and allocating in:kind assets to the destination account(s) Fast, accurate, and consistent processing of security set up and maintenance Processing trade files from multiple managers and ensuring accurate posting of trades to trust accounting system Accurately processing transaction and data imports from vendors, business partners, and external managers Actively participating in the problem resolution process including providing responsive and thoughtful feedback and improvements to complex customer:facing inquiries Ensuring immediate and accurate resolution of all reconciliation outages resulting from trading, income, and corporate actions Effectively working cross functionally with peers, team, departments and various custodians Creating and implementing procedures that minimize/eliminate process errors that may result in negative financial impact to the firm. Ability to adapt and be flexible should new process changes or requirement change Qualifications: BachelorA?s degree or 2+ years in the Financial Industry Ability to distinguish between different asset classes, security types, transaction and types Ability to understand and demonstrate knowledge of tax lot accounting and general ledger accounting Strong customer service skills and computer skills with emphasis in Microsoft Word and Excel
