The Admission Coordinator is primary point person for all petitions filed at the Urgent Psychiatric Center (UPC). The petition process includes the processing and monitoring of all petitions filed for completeness and accuracy related to statute and timelines. The Admission Coordinator assists law enforcement in completing petitions and serves as a community stakeholder liaison with Fire and EMT Departments. As part of a clinical and administrative team, the Admission Coordinator responds to internal and external providers and community agencies for petition process questions. The Admission Coordinator also monitors the ongoing internal petition process to ensure a deliver and meet contractual requirements. As part of a clinical and administrative team the Admission Coordinator assists in the transfer of recipients to other facilities. Coordinates the administrative process for handling petitionsAssists medical staff by obtaining and relaying consumer information from hospital ED staff, clinical staff, family members, and/or other Providers. Monitors medical and clinical timelines of involuntary processArranges pick up orders with policeAssists Crisis Workers in coordination and transfer of consumer care upon dischargeAnswers telephones for admission purposes (i.e. police EDs and other psychiatric hospitals)Maintains the patient boardParticipates in ongoing training At least an AssociateA?s Degree relating to both business/clinical administration and/or behavioral health. A combination of mental health experience and education will be consideredBilingual preferred but not requiredAt least three years of administrative work experience and at least one year of behavioral health experienceA current Notary required or the ability to become a notary within the first 90 daysMicrosoft Office skills required
