Summary: The Compensation Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing all compensation related financial activity including but not limited to payroll, benefits, commission and bonus within the organization. The accountant will administer the sales commission and bonus plans including interfacing with sales team personnel as well as managing directors to ensure timely and accurate sales commission and bonus calculations. Ensure the integrity of the data used for processing and works to improve and streamline current processes within each calculation cycle. The Compensation Accountant will be a key member of the Accounting team. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. Calculate sales commissions and bonuses monthly according to related sales compensation plans and policies, ensuring commission and bonus calculations are done accurately and in a timely manner through partnerships with sales and other departments. Includes analyzing, reviewing and preparing commission accruals, payables, journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and audit schedules.Prepare and upload bi:monthly payroll journal entries for all U.S. Employees. Reconcile monthly payroll and payroll related accounts.P and L review of payroll expenses by department.Manage and respond to all compensation inquiries.Will assist and act as a back up to accounts payable department when needed.Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information at all times.Ad hoc reports as needed.
