The Payroll and Benefits Specialist administers the activities relating to the companyA?s domestic payroll and benefits to include the timely and accurate processing of a biweekly payroll and benefit administration. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist interfaces directly with employees and management and is also the liaison between the payroll service and all benefit related vendors. Process and administer biweekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now for all domestic employees. To include new hire information, terminations, tax and direct deposit information, garnishment and support order processing, severance packages and other payroll related tasks as required. Manage various employee group insurance programs including group health/vision/dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and 401k plan.Submit payroll files to the applicable carrier for 401(k), and flexible spending contributions.Administer all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations. Review and approve benefit changes to ensure the information is correct and consistent between insurance carriers and HRIS system. Process monthly billings from providers and approve for payment. Perform routine audits to assure that benefit and payroll transactions are documented and processed per regulatory guidelines and company established pay practices and policies. Responsible for the Time and Attendance system to include the administration of paid leave policy, updates to the configuration, provide support to employees and supervisors as required and applicable training as needed. Assist employees regarding payroll and benefit related inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Manage FMLA and coordinate with third party administrator in processing disability claims per plan.Administer COBRA enrollments/changes with third party administrator.Primary point of contact for producing scheduled and ad:hoc reports, HRIS updates/changes and user training.3+ years of related payroll experience.1+ years of benefits experience.Work experience to include knowledge of payroll practices as required by U.S. payroll law. Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.Strong attention to detail, and ability to multi:task and manage competing priorities.Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters. BachelorA?s Degree from an accredited institution.5+ years of related payroll and benefits experience.Experience using ADP Workforce Now.Deep knowledge of Benefits, tax regulations and accounting principles.
