Job Description
Our aerospace manufacturing client in the East Valley is seeking a Quality Manager
The Quality Manager ensures that all cast and machined products conform to all internal and customer supplied specifications and requirements. The Quality Manager shall maintain all flow down of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer specifications and support of business operations. The Quality Manager shall ensure that all NDT certified training in the areas of Grain, Visual, FPI, UT, X:ray, N:ray inspection is maintained, updated, and adequate for the business. This is accomplished through individual efforts and the efforts of the certified NDT staff and Quality Engineering and Technician personnel that report to the Quality Manager directly or indirectly.
Responsible for the conformance to all specs and requirements of all products shipped to customers from both the casting and machining facility.
Performance manages, trains and delegates part specific quality engineering and quality technician responsibilities to the quality staff to ensure quality goals and initiatives are satisfied.
Ensure that that the Quality organization fully supports manufacturing activities at both the Triax Casting and Triax Machining operations.
Act as back up and hold quality engineering responsibility for all products as necessary
Maintain adequate quality staff to support quality improvement initiatives and the needs of both development and production part portfolios from a processing and shipment standpoint
Monitor the quality system and ensure production processes have process controls in place that are measured and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure product consistency.
Support manufacturing by supplying and coordinating all training and certification needs of the staff performing certified NDT inspections.
Support customer relationships via conference calls and other communications to enable swift resolution to quality issues and concerns.
Maintain company Corrective Action and Preventative Action System
Interact with Staff level colleagues to provide manufacturing support and get support for quality initiatives
Responsible for Document Controls ensuring parts are processed in compliance to customer and internal requirements throughout the manufacturing process and traveler steps
Ensure non:conforming and returned product are segregated, processed appropriately, and are reviewed for root cause and improvement.
Responsible for employee compliance to all processing and business procedures to ensure fixed and standard processes are in place that consistently produce conforming products.
Responsible for calibration testing is performed and equipment is maintained in proper calibration always according to company and machine manufacturer specifications.

Minimum of 10 years working in the Quality discipline with specific responsibility for aerospace, land:based investment cast and/or machined components.
Demonstrated responsibility for company:wide quality system and product conformance to customer and internal specifications
Hold LIII NDT certification in a minimum of (2) NDT disciplines.
Demonstrated active role in managing the staff of a quality department and staff of NDT certified inspectors
Must possess excellent communications skills (both technical writing and verbal).
Must demonstrate a sense of urgency for timeliness in correcting open quality issues and instituting swift and effective corrective action.
Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
Must be able to work as a team and as an individual to achieve goals and promote company culture.
