Essential Functions:
• Functions independently to develop treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions for both walk-in and scheduled patients within the guidelines of the Company’s policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Educates and informs patients on topics of health and related illnesses or procedures.
• Conducts physical exams and procedures per the advanced triage protocol or as appropriate to diagnose the patient’s illness.
• Follows up and manages treatment plans.
• Prescribes medications per company policy, DEA guidelines, and as appropriate for the patient’s diagnosis.
• Exercises exceptional judgement and decision making as is appropriate and expected for advanced education and training of a provider.
• Interprets lab results and x-rays to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Upholds the values of MY DR NOW and serves as a leader and example for all Team Members of the Company.
• Documents appropriate information in the patient’s chart and ensures charts are complete within the standards as established by the Company.
• Provider will encourage patient relationships and strive to create a patient panel to maintain an active practice.
• Conducts him or herself in a professional manner with patients and Team Members.

Qualifications:
• Education: Advanced degree in medicine or nursing with an emphasis on family practice or emergency medicine – MD, FNP, or PA
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment. Advanced training as is usually obtained through a residency or clinical rotations. Prefer experience in a high volume family practice or urgent care setting
• Certifications/Licenses: Arizona Medical License, DEA license
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Email, EMR
• Language Ability: read, analyze and interpret business and medical documents. Write reports, business correspondence and medical documentation. Effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, providers, and the public
• Mathematical Ability: calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Problem Solving Ability: solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to determine when to seek input from a supervisor or provider

Work Environment:
The work environment may be moderately noisy, fast paced, and rapidly changing. Team Member may be exposed to potentially contagious diseases as well as the effects of injuries and accidents. Team Member must be able to handle stressful situations with a calm demeanor.

Physical Demands:
The position will require long periods of sitting including some bending, stooping, grabbing, typing, squatting, and reaching. The Team Member may occasionally need to lift up to 25 pounds. Team Member will need to routinely use close vision, distance vision, and shift focus rapidly. This position also requires extensive use of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for typing.
