Be involved in projects with our Traffic Engineering Group and as a Group Leader being part of a growing team that solves our client s objectives and challenges.
WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Supervising** **Traffic Engineer** for our Albuquerque, NM based team. WSP USA is a global consulting firm assisting public and private clients to plan, develop, design, construct, operate and maintain thousands of critical infrastructure projects around the world. This position will function as the task lead on major projects for the NMDOT, City of Albuquerque, and local agency clients. The Albuquerque office has a long history of being one of the Traffic Engineering leaders in the New Mexico market and as a **Supervising Traffic Engineer** , this position will lead the traffic discipline and work as part of a project team to continue our history of service.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Staff management and development.
+ Business development.
+ ITS design and operations.
+ Lighting analysis and design.
+ Signing and Marking plans.
+ Traffic signal design and timing.
+ Technical writing.
+ Coordination with other engineering disciplines.

# Job Requirements
>
**Required Qualifications**
+ Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in traffic engineering design of ITS.
+ Design of signing and marking, traffic control, traffic signals and/or lighting.
+ Experience in proposal writing and client engagement.
+ Staff management experience.
+ Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD.
+ Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Minimum education requirement is a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
+ Professional Engineering license in Arizona or ability to obtain within 3 months.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous experience with NMDOT, City of Albuquerque, and other local Municipalities
+ Knowledge of transportation planning and traffic analysis tools (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM).
+ A Masters Degree in Transportation.
