Title: Grill Cook Reports To: Chef/Sous ChefDepartment: Kitchen Position Summary: Position Summary: Grill cook is primarily responsible for completing any Line/Station prep needed for that days service assigned by Chef while executing any and all tickets necessary during service. Grill cook will ensure they are following the recipes and standards of the main kitchen. Responsibilities: Position Responsibilities: Review function sheets and reservations with Chefs for daily activity.Assist kitchen team in preparation of food for the days service.Assist team with proper storage of incoming product necessary for kitchen operation.Efficiently and timely prepare orders during service according to standards and recipes.Prepare Menu items in accordance to plating specks and Ticket time specks.Properly cutting/portioning of meats, fish and poultry to desired kitchen specs while minimizing waste.Communicate with FOH, BOH team members and management throughout the shift regarding status of orders and availability of productStand and cook to order Saut , Grill and Braise according to Menu needsProper labeling of all food items for food safety and shelf life standards.Cleans, organizes, and maintains walk-in refrigerators, reach-ins, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage areas.Assists in building a cohesive teamwork environment by Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift. Minimum Job Requirements: Refined verbal communication skills and comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen operations.

2 years of previous line experience preferred. Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred. Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills. A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.

Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be efficient, organized and able to handle several tasks at once.
