About the Opportunity OpenTech Alliance, Inc. is looking for a multi-talented and detail-minded Marketing & Tradeshow Coordinator to support our marketing department with tradeshow and event coordination, project reporting and administration, copywriting, emails, press releases and various other marketing related tasks.

Job Description
The successful candidate will report to our Marketing Director, and will work directly with our sales and marketing team in a fast-paced B2B sales environment. He or she will take primary responsibility for booking the numerous tradeshows and events we attend throughout the year, working with our many industry trade associations. This includes accurate and timely submission of show applications and deposits, booking of promotional opportunities and sponsorships, room & flight reservations, exhibit transportation and logistics, and expense management and reporting. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with a variety of other marketing related tasks, depending on the candidates' specific aptitude and skill set, such as: copywriting, press releases, marketing emails and list management, graphic production and layout, social media outreach and more.

Required Skills and Background
A bachelor's degree in marketing, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 3+ years' experience in marketing or related field including direct, hands-on experience with tradeshow and event participation or coordination. Superior organizational skills: sets priorities, meets deadlines and carefully proofs own work Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write intelligently, succinctly and effectively for the intended audience. Upbeat, proactive and energetic attitude: We are looking for someone who always takes the initiative, is dependable, takes pride in their work and works well within a team. The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong computer skill set (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook + Google Docs and excellent general Internet and software skills). Bonus points for those with demonstrable skills and/or experience with Adobe CS software, print or web design, email marketing or other digital or traditional media work (please be prepared to show samples).
