SLED Compliance Contract Specialist
As a Compliance Contract Specialist at Insight, you will support our State, Local and Education business and work directly with SLED Compliance management and teammates on contract related matters : from suggesting more efficient work methods to executing established best practices.
Contracts are an important part of how we sell to the SLED market and your job is to make sure we are mitigating risk and staying within compliance.
As a Compliance Contract Specialist, you will:
:Analyze. You will need to use your background in the contract and legal field to analyze the process and make sure we are abiding by the rules. Your assignment is compliance, so you will need a solid understanding of SLED contracts.
:Report. In order to keep everyone within guidelines, you'll need to pull reports to analyze our progress and identify potential areas of opportunity. You will have the responsibility to conduct and participate in weekly audits to ensure and track our compliance efforts.
:Partner. To be successful, you will need to effectively work alongside all of our SLED contract personnel, including technical representatives, contracting officers, sales people and executive teams. You'll need to build solid relationships both internally and externally and your professional communication skills will be key.
:Execute. Identify, analyze and recommend process changes and improvements in systems and processes. You must also understand when to pull in other resources and escalate issues to management. Based on the nature of our industry, you will understand key manufacturers and publishers programs.
:Learn. In this ever:changing environment, you will constantly be challenged to learn new things. Whether it is acquiring new technical skills or researching new contract requirements, there is always something new to learn.
Specific job responsibilities:
There will not be any "typical day" scenarios in this position. You will be working on a team and will be expected to execute your responsibilities to problem solve and ensure contract compliance such as:
:Develop and maintain the ability to research answers to a broad range of questions related to SLED orders, internal and external systems, contracts, processes and clients.
:Acquire and retain a broad understanding of all SLED contracts in order to assist sales in selling from those contracts.
:Administer agent and teaming partner programs as assigned.
:Develop and maintain a strong technical understanding of MS Access, SQL, SAP, Web Site(s) and related tools used to ensure accuracy of work performed.
:Analyze data submitted by contract manufacturers and publishers for accuracy and impact on assigned contracts.
:Develop and prepare contract:required documents and pricelists.
:Assist in technical IT developmental efforts, including testing, rollouts and triaging.
:Ensure that accurate record taking and document storage occur on all assigned activities for audit purposes.
:Manage internal and external client communication professionally.
:Perform internal audits on sales quotes and orders for contract compliance.
:Assist in the monthly and quarterly contractual reporting as needed.
:Must at times work nights and weekends to meet client (internal and external) deadlines.
:Occasional business travel may be required.
What we need at Insight:
:5 years of experience in contract and program management. Preferred to have IT reseller and/or contract management experience.
:Solid Microsoft Office skills and strong understanding of MS Excel, Access and SQL.
:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extreme attention to detail. In this department, you must operate at the highest moral and ethical standards.
:Someone with strong organizational skills who is analytical, accurate, timely with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
:You must be a self:starter.
