Position Summary
Coordinate scheudling of crews and vendors around customer and municipality projects needs. These projects range in size and complexity for a diverse customer base. Provide tracking and reporting back management and customers.
Standard Position Tasks
+ Review project requirements, specifications, permits and drawings
+ Maintain relationships with Owners, Customers and General contractors
+ Participate in project meetings as requested to review progress and changes to scope of work
+ Maintain up to date AZ One Call blue stake requests and log
+ Obtain and prepare TCP s; update Dust Control permits and logs
+ Follows awarded contracts, including estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, overruns, procurement of material, etc
+ Maintain costs for labor, materials, equipment and sub-contractors/suppliers tracking throughout project lifecycle
+ Reviews cost of construction and keeps within project limits
+ Prepares RFI s, project submittal packages, initiate change order requests and other project correspondence
+ Provide accurate project revenue streams, including extra work items, change orders, credits; procurement of material, etc.
+ Maintains files of current and past projects as back-up for estimate figures
+ Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Confidence to communicate with all levels of the Company, customers, and government agencies as appropriate
+ Ability to stay Organized, accurate, and consistent while managing multiple projects
+ Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances
+ Ability to prioritize and multitask proactively to meet deadlines
+ Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians
+ Advanced Computer skills with expert skill in Excel is required
+ Ability to coordinate and supervise a group effort
+ Written communication skill to compose complex reports, legal documents, proposals, and business plans
+ Oral communication skill to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, business plans and strategies, and legal documents
+ Ability to persuade others to a course of action by instructing, convincing, or influencing through professional guidance using logic and example
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience
+ 2 years civil construction experience in the areas of utilities, earth work, concrete structures, and general site
+ Four year engineering or construction management degree OR equivalent technical training and related experience
Physical and Environmental Demands
+ Must be able to read documents and use a computer.
+ Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
+ Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to be mobile within an office, warehouse and construction site environment.
+ Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Post Hire Requirements
+ Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and compliance standards.
+ Pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
+ Provide US work authorization documents
+ Driver s license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two year rolling period
+ Satisfactory Criminal History Check
