Job Description:/h3:
In this position you will have the opportunity to use, and expand on, your controls engineering expertise in the areas of embedded controls systems (hardware and software), PLC and industrial automation, and planning, programming, and implementation for all types of embedded, PLC, and PC:based controls applications. All products involve motion control, sequential logic control, various communication ports used to control peripheral devices and/or to interface with customer automation, HMI, and industrial safety. The position will allow you to have an impact on how products go to market and to build customized solutions around those products to deliver customers the ultimate solution that they are seeking.
Primary Responsibilities:
:Development of new complex control systems for automation products.
:Enhancement of existing products
:Programming, integration, and troubleshooting of automated systems.
:Assist in design and testing of embedded control systems including to the board and component level
:Ascertain customer needs and develop strategies for meeting those needs including development of APIs and/or Command structures to allow customer systems to control all operations of Company products
:Lead the certification processes as required for standards related to lab and/or industrial equipment.
:Panel design and layout
Required Qualifications:
:4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
:Previous experience in design and programming of systems related to lab automation equipment.
:Possess minimum 5 years high:level experience with PLCs, Motion Control, Embedded systems or some combination of these with ability to show capacity to learn new systems as required
:Experience with both digital and analog I/O systems and Motion Control
:Development of APIs (Application Programming Interface) or drivers for interface with external automation equipment
:Multiple programming language competencies including C, C++, PLC (Ladder), and IEC 61131:3 programming languages
:Strategic thinker able to envision, communicate, and develop long:term implementation plans in addition to delivering results now
:Strong organizational and communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
:Specific knowledge of Beckhoff controls and/or Embedded Systems (Texas Instruments products) programming a plus
:Knowledge of standard equipment interface protocol(s) or standards used in lab automation a plus
:Experience in labeling, filling or capping systems preferred.
:Strong proven knowledge of current Equipment Safety Standards a plus
:Use of EPLAN electrical CAD software a plusCompany Description:/h3:
