Job Description Job Summary: Responsible for the full range of duties, with an emphasis on sales, and in accordance with Supply Chain management; required to ensure stock consistency throughout the company and a 100% in-stock acceptance. Reports to and is accountable to General Manager of Supply Chain. Duties and Responsibilities: Vendor Relations: 1. Cost and pricing negotiations 2. Rebate structures 3. Branch visit schedules a. Visit expectations b. Training schedule 4. Quarterly buys 5. Vendor info updates in the system 6. Regular meetings 7. Shrink expectations on categories Item Responsibility: 1. Item description management 2. New item approval 3. Branch replenishment 4. Corporate merchandising standards 5. Min/max management 6. Slow moving ownership 7. Management of dated materials 8. Corporate communication 9. Review of special orders for stock opportunities 10. Shrink review of categories Branch Responsibilities: 1. Quarterly visits 2. Communication on all buys and new items 3. Sales support based on category 4. Vendor direct buys 5. Management of vendor pickups in Phoenix area 6. Direction to branch on slow moving items 7. Direction on any item we are discontinuing and what to replace in the showroom 8. Plan o grams for every vendor 9. Communicate quarterly vendor visits with a game plan 10. Expectations of what the branch is held responsible for Team Support: 1. Communication with team on their categories during branch visits 2. Turns and turn earn delivery to budget on category 3. Slow moving delivery better than budget 4. Monthly group meetings to establish expectations and results Experience Required: 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent, College Degree Preferred 2. 3-5 years industry experience preferred Special Requirements: Requires exceptional communication skills. Strong aptitude for accuracy as well as outstanding customer service skills. Moderate to expert level of skill with Microsoft Office products Professional appearance in line with Border’s mainstream style. Happy, outgoing, pleasant, responsible work habits.
