Weise is scheduled for three more engagements in the Phoenix area. Gerry Joe Weise Trio with Jimbo Gibbons, Arizona's favorite drummer and bass guru, Pablo Richards, will join forces at Pranksters Too in Scottsdale as a trio, from 10:00 pm to 1:30 pm on November 20, 2009. As a duo he will close out the ArtFest™ of Scottsdale on Saturday and Sunday November 21st and 22nd from 3:45-5 pm. The annual ArtFest™ of Scottsdale is the highest rated Fall Festival in Arizona.

We are Rockslide Jones, a 5 piece consisting of drums, bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and vocals. We recently lost our bass player and need to get back to gigging ASAP! Our music is an original blend of genres including blues, funk, rock, jazz, and hip hop. We've been together and playing live for a year and a half and have played all over town, and even played the Whisky A Go Go in LA over the summer. We just finished recording our first CD and have plenty of material for another. We are serious about gigging and always have at least one show a week. Personal Statement: Music education has always been a priority in our youths development for good reason; it builds confidence, exercises the creative mind, is a positive social outlet and (drums especially) instills invaluable leadership qualities. Furthermore, private instruction has always had certain advantages over a classroom setting, moreover, has recently has been filling a void in the school system. I've had the privilege of studying with some amazing teachers over the years. They made what first appeared very difficult, seem much easier and exciting. This is now my goal as a teacher. Music lessons can enrich anyone's life. There is no substitute for sitting down one on one with someone accomplished at their instrument and who has performed for all types of audiences. As a teacher, I share my experience with aspiring players in hopes that it will resonate something within them, encouraging them to further integrate music into their own lives.
