Guitar Player Wanted for Cover Band (MALE OR FEMALE)

Hi! Are you who we are looking for? We are a female-fronted cover band with a really unique repertoire. We play mainstream rock, pop, country, and blues. Fun, radio-friendly, soulful sounds!

Carrie Underwood, Eva Cassidy, Melissa Etheridge, Ryan Adams, Alyannah Miles Martina McBride, Sheryl Crow, Goo-Goo Dolls, Garbage, Sugarland, Oasis, Jewel, Joss Stone, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, KT Tunstall, Katy Perry, Sade, Susan Tedeschi, Bob Seger, Jeff Beck, Shania Twain, Fiona Apple, Sara Barielles, and many more.

Sorry, but we’re not focusing on Classic Rock because we want to establish a different following and look forward to performing in the nicer venues.

Please note that money is NOT our main motivation in this band. Rather, it is getting the opportunity to perform at some great venues and working with some good musicians. If we make money while doing what we love, then that’s a plus. We are very organized, and do take this project seriously, as we want to have a really polished sound.

What you can expect from us: We rehearse once a week (as of now) at a professional practice studio in Chandler, and we are looking to play out approx. twice a month. We are dedicated to this project, and we are looking for someone who will be as well. We are all laid back but motivated and focused.

The rest of the band is completely formed and has already been playing for some time. We are in need of bringing in a new guitarist that will match the caliber of musicianship throughout the rest of the band.

We range from ages 27 to early 50’s; so all ages are fine, as long as you are a responsible & good musician that can and wants to play a well rounded mix of everything and can get along with others.

What we expect from you: Aside from your lead guitar skills; you’ll need pro equipment to get the quality sound expected. Please be professional; NO flakes. Feel free to bring a sense of humor and a personality...It is okay if you already have other music endeavors, however if you are in other bands, constant gigs etc and you are not able to work rehearsals and practice time into your schedule then, please don’t apply.

Although you will have plenty of time to practice material, we MUST have someone who can play and think outside the box of “cover songs”. (i.e putting your own spin) AND hearing a song a couple of times and having the ability to trudge through successfully is a BIG plus.

If you are interested, please contact us today. Please let us know some basic information about yourself, your experience playing, and what you are looking for in a band. If you have a resume or some recordings of what you sound like, please send those as well. We look forward to meeting with you.

Do you write but not sing? Male vocalist available…

You’re a very good songwriter, maybe you’re brilliant. But there’s just one thing: you don’t have the greatest singing voice. Maybe pretty good – just not good enough to really sell the GREAT song you’ve just written.

I am a male demo vocalist with many styles under my belt: Rock, Country, Alternative, Metal, R&B, Standards, surf music…you name it.

I will put that finishing touch on your next song, including just the right vocal arrangement.

I have the ability to record at home and send you the files. Payments can be made by money order or through Paypal if it’s needed.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/jonstathammusic for samples of my work.

Feel free to call as well: (310) 882-1967 Jon
Thank you.

Seeking LGBT musicians to complete Country Music band

I am a drummer and I have a kick ass bassist. We are looking for other LGBT musicians to form a Country Music band with influences like Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Gretchen Wilson, Zac Brown Band, Lost Trailers and many more.

Some experience preferred but if you have real talent we can overlook the lack of experience. I have played the rock club scenes in the past for over ten years. This project does not require a huge commitment other than maybe one day a week.

If you don't know what LGBT stands for please don't respond.... I am a T. If you have a problem dealing with that please do not respond.

One Man Band - ready to go

posted: November 20, 2009, 07:53 AM

ReplyLogicalSolutionsInc@yahoo.com

Hi,

My name is Gary Gordon and I've been playing around the valley for over 20 years. I've performed from one end of the spectrum to the other. I've headlined the Tempe street dance with a rock band called Dr. Ruth - I've played every other weekend at Eddie V's Restaurant for over 5 years - I play at many other private clubs in town - and I've done tons of studio work.

But it's not what I've done - it's what I can DO, right?

Well, I've got several keyboards and I've sequenced all my songs to sound just like they do on the radio with drums, bass, guitars, and I play keyboards along with them - and, of course, I sing.

I have over a thousand songs in my repetiore and can sing in many different styles. Whether you want country, rock, blues, swing, jazz, or whatever - I am a professional and will not disappoint. I have a myspace page with some demo tunes you can listen to if you like at
www.myspace.com/LogicalSolutionsEntertainment

I have several different P.A. systems so I can fit pretty much any venue. You can also contact me at 602-695-5711. Pricing is based on location of gig, PA needs, length of performance, etc.

Tom Tayback and the Daddy O's - Graffiti Gold Rock 'n Roll Show - Available

posted: November 18, 2009, 10:34 AM

Replytom@tomtaybackband.com

This is one of the best Gaffiti Gold Shows in the country, featuring
a trip down memory lane and a look back to the good old days, with
great nostalgia from the stage and those terrific Oldies from the
50's & 60’s.

This is not your everyday band. It’s a great show with lots of
trivia and comedy from the stage that people rave about. Most sing
along, everyone laughs and some even cry. That's what Rock n Roll
Gold is all about.

Yo may recognize the name... With a background in Hollywood Movies &
TV, and as the multi-award winning anchor of am780 KAZM’s morning
show ("The DUO") in Sedona, Tom Tayback brings seasoned presence to
his live performances. You may also remember his uncle Vic Tayback,
who starred for 9 seasons as Mel Sharples on “Alice” for CBS. As a
Screen Actors Guild member, Tom’s acting history can be viewed on the
Internet Movie Database site
www.imdb.com/name/nm0851860/).

From '89 to ’91 he produced his own syndicated TV variety show on
KTUP Channel 45 in Phoenix. From ‘85 to ’91 he also hosted radio
shows in Phoenix and Las Vegas. In ‘93 Tom costarred in the premiere
episode of the new “Route 66” for NBC. ’94 found him starring as a
body-snatching alien in “Hidden II, The Spawning” for NewLine Cinema
Productions. In 95 he starred as homicide detective “Sgt Gold" in
“Undercover Heat” with Meg Foster for Axis Films International. And
in ‘96 Tom starred in his favorite role as the new “Grizzly Adams” in
“Treasure Of The Bear” with Joseph Campanella...

You’ll love this show. Tom surrounds himself with some of the best
musicians in the southwest in order to do justice to those great
Golden Oldies. Anything else would be Rock ‘n Roll sacrilege.

This show is a real Blast From The Past. It's all about Nostalgia,
all about the Memories, "Hey Baby" it's all about Rock 'n Roll Gold.

OPEN JAM TONIGHT - North Phoenix, Anthem, New River, BCC

Every Wednesday night from 8 - 12 Power Steering hosts the open mic jam at Gavilin Peak Sports Bar and we hope you bring yourself, your instrument or your entire band.

Whether you play guitar, bass, keys, harp, or sing it doesn't matter because you will get plenty of time to jam with us, do your solo act or play with musicians that you choose. We can play rock, classic rock, blues, country and are always willing to try something new. Your age doesn't matter.

When I first moved to the Phoenix area I met musicians by going to open jams. This led to making $$$ when I picked up by groups that needed someone with my musical background and skills.

If you are serious about getting out and getting gigs don't sit home and miss an opportunity to meet the right musicians that can join you in your effort to play, whether it be original or cover music.

Enjoy the great food and drinks at Gavilin Peak, play some music and have a great time with musicians of all levels of experience.

Hope to see you there we have a great time and I’m sure you will too!
