Original rock and blues band
Hello and thank you for looking at this ad! As stated I am working at putting together a rock and blues band, I play guitar and am looking for others to join in, I am looking for a lead singer, a keyboard player, bassist, drummer and a second guitarist. I would prefer if each member could sing, this would be a plus but not a major factor. Now here is what I am looking for or rather what I am not looking for first. 1. I am not looking for a shredder; while that is a unique talent it does not fit in well with the type of music that I am working on. 2. anyone stating PRO anything, well I am just not impressed by this, I am looking for a few down to earth people who have a love of music, love to Jam and love to play live. That’s it; anything else I think is over kill 3. I am not looking to spend endless hours in the studio with rehearsal, I want to get into the studio and work hard to get out and play eve if it’s only an open mic night its better than nothing. 3.5. I am not looking for someone who knows it all and wants to just show up the night of a gig, I need some one who wants to practice. 4. Lastly, I am not looking for people that have a fondness for the drink, or drugs, I mean ok a beer or two is fine, and if you are 420 friendly just don’t come to a gig that way and don’t do it around me now what I am looking for 1. I need people who, as I said before, are down to earth and are willing to work and invest the time and talent to this project 2. I want people who can come to the table with Idea’s and put those ideas in to action. Lets Rock and make some noise! • Location: West valley

I am a drummer and I have a kick ass bassist. We are looking for other LGBT musicians to form a Country Music band with influences like Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Gretchen Wilson, Zac Brown Band, Lost Trailers and many more.
Some experience preferred but if you have real talent we can overlook the lack of experience. I have played the rock club scenes in the past for over ten years. This project does not require a huge commitment other than maybe one day a week. If you don't know what LGBT stands for please don't respond.... I am a T. If you have a problem dealing with that please do not respond. • Location: Phoenix

Red Hot Blues Rock From Down Under with Gerry Joe Weiseposted: November 19, 2009, 04:42 PM

After a successful tour of Europe and straight out of the Chicago blues scene, Aussie blues rocker, Gerry Joe Weise returns for second visit to the Valley of the Sun before flying to Las Vegas for several performances. Weise is scheduled for three more engagements in the Phoenix area. Gerry Joe Weise Trio with Jimbo Gibbons, Arizona's favorite drummer and bass guru, Pablo Richards, will join forces at Pranksters Too in Scottsdale as a trio, from 10:00 pm to 1:30 pm on November 20, 2009. As a duo he will close out the ArtFest™ of Scottsdale on Saturday and Sunday November 21st and 22nd from 3:45-5 pm. The annual ArtFest™ of Scottsdale is the highest rated Fall Festival in Arizona.
Gerry Joe Weise, an Australian blues-rock guitarist and vocalist began playing guitar at age four, toured the world, and participated in numerous global festivals. He has toured successfully in Australia, Europe, Fiji, Polynesia, Azores Islands, Scandinavia, Tahiti, Hawaii, and other parts of the US. Gerry Joe Weise is currently the number one electric blues guitarist in Australia. A masterful guitar player, he has played with BB King, John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Noel Redding and Eric Clapton. He has won numerous awards for his music and CD's; he also took the "Strat Master" USA title in 2008. Weise has released four albums with plans to release a new CD in 2010. Philippe Lacoche, Courrier Picard Newspaper writes of Gerry Joe Weise and his trio, (they) “came on stage just after midnight, as Gerry Joe strapped on his guitar. His energetic guitar style, produced scorching blues licks, likened to that of Buddy Guy's intensity. Gerry Joe Weise's forte is his honest bluesman approach. The night was hot and sweaty, which measured up well to the expectations of all.” Gerry Joe Weise, the Australian guitarist who has been touring Europe every year since 1980, has outstandingly impressed hundreds of festival audiences, with his sky-soaring-outstretched-fiery-blues-bonanza, a real guitar hero in the making! Joining him on drums will be Jimbo Gibbons and Paul “Pablo” Richards on bass guitar. Coldest Lonely is seeking a Bassist and Drummer. We are looking for a couple of guys/gals who can get down to what Coldest Lonely is about. We have a website with a couple rough recordings of a few songs www.Coldestlonely.com . Please check it out. Thats how we sound, and thats the type of music we're interested in making.
We (Guitarist and Vocalist) are eagerly and aggressively pursuing our dreams, which is to play some shows, build up a local fan base and see where the music takes us. We have no delusions of grandeur, nor are we particularly interested in egos. Just want to work hard, bust our ass, write some kick ass original music and push ourselves.
No drugs / No flakes / No assholes
If you are interested, please hit us up, we would love to audition some peeps so we can get playing shows ASAP.
Thanks for taking the time to read this ad. If we're not what you're looking for, i hope you do find something you are looking for.
Best wishes,

Looking for project to start or join. I have a free rehearsal space, plenty of live and studio experience.
Influences include: Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Motley Crue, KISS, Pantera, Arch Enemy, Black Sabbath. I am a groove oriented drummer, not a technical drummer. I have pro gear and attitude. I am endorsed by many companies. I'm looking for something that is fun and drama free. "Getting signed" is not my priority, if it happens, it happens but I'm not going to sell my soul for it. • Location: Glendale

Guitarists and other musicians needed for Cutting Edge Cover Project!posted: November 16, 2009, 07:49 PM

We are starting a new cover band project with a twist. This is something that hasn't been done before (that I know of) and requires a certain amount of skill. What is this all about? You'll have to wait and see I guess. But we will be a cover band at the foundation playing regular pay gigs. We really need a rhythm and a lead guitarist or one really talented dude. Also if there's a really good drummer who wants in then I'll jump on rhythm guitar with no problem. Anyone else who plays anything that wants to be in on this, hit us up! We have practice space and our gear plus some guitar what-nots (if you don't want to haul your crap around all the time). We are going to be playing everything from 50's rock to modern pop and back again. If you love every kind of music and want to play it all then this is the place for you. We're starting a revolution and it's name is Jolly Roger and the Audio Pirates!
P.S. Age doesn't matter (although we're in our twenties) but no drugs douche! Email me JRATAP@gmail.com • Location: Phoenix North

Learn to play the drums the right way. Don’t develop bad habits that you eventually won’t be able to break. You can’t really be considered a true drummer without first building some basic rudimentary skills regardless of what type of music you want to play.
There is a big difference between a true drummer and a self taught one who’s learned to bash out some beats to songs and learned one basic roll. A properly trained drummer really knows what he/she is playing and has developed enough skills to play any type of music. I will teach you stick control, your basic rudiments, timing schemes, beat notation, how to read, how to have a nice smooth sound even if you’re playing heavy metal, and how to put it all together on your set. You can be playing well enough to make some good music within 6 months or less of starting with just a little effort and patients. Most can play a basic beat in 2 to 4 lessons. My rates are reasonable and there are per session discounts on package purchases. If you are serious about wanting to be a drummer and you want to learn how to play the right way then call Jim at 623-326-9207 or reply via e-mail and let’s get you started. • Location: All West Valley Areas
