Working Cover Band Seeks Lead Singer/ Rhythm Guitarist

KMATBS seeks vocalist/ guitarist (Male or Female) for classic/ current cover band to complete our line-up. We are looking for a singer with rhythm or lead guitar abilities (at least at an intermediate level of playing ability) that can harmonize vocally on all the songs we cover in our set list. Currently each member of our band sings lead and harmony. Everyone is expected to share the “vocal” load at gigs, which makes our band somewhat unique to the Phoenix metro area. We are also looking for a personable band mate who shares in all facets of the working band environment, including booking, promoting, expenses, and set-up before gigs. We have a rehearsal studio to accommodate practice for the band in a central location currently but we will be practicing in Queen Creek on weekends. Please have little or no vices which affect your performance onstage, while being realistic at the same time that we’re not all saints. KMATBS is a turn key operation with full PA, Lights, Effects, and sound and light Tech to put on a professional quality show, in which we try to put on the best show in town to rival larger acts. Please reply with equipment list, song list of music that you have performed in the past, and a brief bio about your past band/musical history for immediate attention.

If you have a demo, website, or other alternate means of presenting information about yourself please have it available on reply to this ad. Look forward to meeting you.

Regards
KMATBS

One Man Band - ready to go

ReplyLogicalSolutionsInc@yahoo.com

Hi,

My name is Gary Gordon and I've been playing around the valley for over 20 years. I've performed from one end of the spectrum to the other. I've headlined the Tempe street dance with a rock band called Dr. Ruth - I've played every other weekend at Eddie V's Restaurant for over 5 years - I play at many other private clubs in town - and I've done tons of studio work.

But it's not what I've done - it's what I can DO, right?

Well, I've got several keyboards and I've sequenced all my songs to sound just like they do on the radio with drums, bass, guitars, and I play keyboards along with them - and, of course, I sing.

I have over a thousand songs in my repetiore and can sing in many different styles. Whether you want country, rock, blues, swing, jazz, or whatever - I am a professional and will not disappoint. I have a myspace page with some demo tunes you can listen to if you like at
www.myspace.com/LogicalSolutionsEntertainment

I have several different P.A. systems so I can fit pretty much any venue. You can also contact me at 602-695-5711. Pricing is based on location of gig, PA needs, length of performance, etc.

Working band, seeks talented keyboard player.

WORKING! WELL ESTABLISHED BAND! Seeks BLUES/JAZZ KEYBOARD player w piano and B3 sounds and style!

Established band, good rep, 12 years running under the same name, venues in hand, gigs booked, and more pending.

We already have a rehearsal space, a great PA, 3 full sets of some “killer material” that's both interesting and challenging. in place.
Strong Vocals, great guitar, and a rhythm section that’s been together since 2007… all on a silver platter!

It’s simply a question of how fast you can learn the tunes.
And what you’re looking for…

We’re primarily a Saturday night band, (exceptions are made for the right venue) we work 2-3 shows a month on average, and special events as they come up! We do have jobs. But music is still our primary focus, second only to paying the rent!

We take our sound seriously. And want you to do so as well.

In this band, keys are not a side position, you’re a featured player!

We're really looking for a committed player, a band mate, and that is certainly the preferred situation.

Still playing in more than one band is not out of the question

We would hope to become your primary concern in short order.

Drum Lessons in S. Scottsdale

For some informative, inspirational drum talk view my blog at http://www.precisiondrumming.com.

Hi folks! My name is Ryan Baker, in my private drum lessons you can expect to; learn music theory, jam with a bass player, record your performances, play songs of your choice, compose a drum solo and much more... I've been teaching drums in the Phoenix community for the last 12 years. I have a properly equipped studio located in the East Valley that includes two acoustic kits (not practice pad kits) and full P.A. I also play guitar and bass which proves helpful in discussing how to apply what your learning on the drums in a musical context. In an effort to address some of your general questions about lessons, I have included the following excerpt from my website http://www.precisiondrumming.com . This website has samples of some of my recent recordings along with a video interview, a calendar of my upcoming performances and much more. Look forward to hearing from you.

For your convenience I also have an on-line calender that shows all available time slots for lessons. You may view it by clicking here http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=4p3n36g5p54a9tr9gq3fbh902s%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Phoenix

Happy Drumming! - Ryan

Drum Lessons

Locations: Scottsdale Rd & McKellips Rd

Days: Monday - Friday

Classes: Hour or half hour sessions as often as you like. Some students schedule lessons once a week, twice a week, or once in a while to get something fresh to work on. I'm flexible.

Experience: 19 years as a musician, 12 as a drum instructor

Style: I have a passion for rock music. I also enjoy playing funk, blues, reggae, latin, and jazz.

Personal Statement: Music education has always been a priority in our youths development for good reason; it builds confidence, exercises the creative mind, is a positive social outlet and (drums especially) instills invaluable leadership qualities. Furthermore, private instruction has always had certain advantages over a classroom setting, moreover, has recently has been filling a void in the school system. I've had the privilege of studying with some amazing teachers over the years. They made what first appeared very difficult, seem much easier and exciting. This is now my goal as a teacher. Music lessons can enrich anyone's life. There is no substitute for sitting down one on one with someone accomplished at their instrument and who has performed for all types of audiences. As a teacher, I share my experience with aspiring players in hopes that it will resonate something within them, encouraging them to further integrate music into their own lives.

TESTIMONIALS

"I did a bit of research to find Ryan, and even though he’s about an hour away, his lessons are well worth the drive. His extensive training and experience provide him with the structure to teach all levels while addressing students’ individual goals. His patience seems infinite and I’m sure he could teach even the most sensitive or easily frustrated student. He has a way of encouraging, whereby the students are unaware that their abilities are being challenged and their skills honed – until they’ve impressed themselves by actually playing it! He inspires a love of the instrument. We’ve been with Ryan for a couple of years now, and even when he has other obligations (gigs out of state, etc.) he is reliable and responsible. He’s a consummate professional and one of the better one-on-one teachers I’ve ever met. He’s a nice guy, too!"

- Ann Campell 09/15/09

"Ryan is as gifted of a teacher as he is a musician. I had already been playing the drums for over 14 years when I started taking lessons from Ryan. It was obvious from the beginning that he has talent and lots of chops, and he can clearly explain and teach these technical aspects of drumming well. However, what most impresses me most now that I look back on it is his ability to see through a player's playing, past just the technical aspects, and identify songs and skills that will help that person become a better musician. Another key insight he has is how to challenge the student while avoiding drudgery. In my case, Ryan instruction was a mixture of new styles, rudiments, and exercises that greatly expanded both my playing and my enjoyment of drumming. He is highly recommended".

- Tony 09/07/08

" We are very pleased with the time you've devoted to our son. We all know teaching is an art, in which we all enjoy the end results. But we see the enjoyment our son gets during this process. Thank you for your efforts and knowledge".
- The Carr Family

"Ryan is very creative, patient and knows how to connect with Justin. He is also an extremely talented musician".
- Gary

"Ryan has inspired our son to love music even more and to apply himself to learning. Neighbors and others have commented on his improvement even in just the last few months".
- Debbie

"Caleb enjoys drum lessons so much. He is so excited to go every week. When he leaves he is always happy and stoked to go home and practice what he has learned. Since learning the drums he is much more able to concentrate on schoolwork. Since lessons began, he has achieved strait A's for the first time in his life. He is more confident and less shy around others. I am thankful to Ryan for the way he makes Caleb feel special and talented. It changed a young boys life"
- Naomi

"Jenna loves going to her drum lesson. She is the fourth child and the only one to get past the first year mark on an instrument (almost three years!). This credits goes to you Ryan. Thanks for making it fun and keeping her interested in drums".
- Denise

"Jasmine really loves to play the drums and we enjoy watching and hearing her. she practices everyday with enthusiasm. She is finally "getting it" with some things that she use to think were so awful to have to commit to memory and practice. Thanks for being patient with her".
- Tammy

"It's a sensational feeling when you allow yourself to be exposed to something new, acquiring valuable skills, and for me, this pertains to playing drums. I finally allowed myself the time in my schedule and committed to learning the drums. I've dropped my sticks mid-play, most of the time by accident, and has taken me longer than most to read drum music, but I found a teacher that goes above and beyond as a musician and as a professional in helping to guide me through proper technique and fostering my creativity at the set. Ryan caters to my learning style; there is a relaxed and comfortable approach to every lesson, so I feel at ease about asking questions and communicating with him. I really think he recognizes my struggles and continues to encourage me, while at the same time continuing to provide new avenues to endless sound possibilities. He sets high but reasonable expectations for practice and improvement. The harder I have worked, the further I've come along. Thank you Ryan for teaching me skills that I will continue carry with me and utilize at the set and at reaching my own personal goals as a drummer".

Seeking a solid guitar player W/vocals for classic to current rock band

posted: November 8, 2009, 12:21 PM

We are looking for a guitar player with vocals who is diverse in musical style to fill in rhythm section, do backing vocals and some lead vocals. We currently have a very good female lead singer, a guitar, bass, and drums and need you to complete our band. Our music ranges from classic 70s to current rock & roll. We have a good P.A. system and a place to rehearse.

We are not looking to play bars and clubs. Our focus is on private parties such as weddings, birthdays, anniversary’s, corporate events, private member club events (Elk lodge, V.F.W. etc.) and the like as this is where the money is usually more worth the effort. We don’t make our livings doing this so if that is what you’re looking for this probably isn’t a good fit for you. We also prefer someone dedicated so if you’re in another band or bands or hire yourself out for gigs with other bands good luck but you’re not for us.

If you are interested or have any questions call 623-937-9044. My name is Jim and if you don't catch me here leave a message and I will return your call A.S.A.P. Thank you.

A don't forget Jeff on bass & Dave on drums holding the bottom down. They play all night long ripping off some bad ass songs you'll all love, so be there.
And Lee Cimarolli (formerly of Highstrung) will be running the soundboard. Lee is available to provide PA and run sound for your band too, stop in and talk to him if interested! If you did not get out to Steelhorse or Octane. This band rocks ! And if you think a good sound man doesn't make a difference, ask Tony how my turning the dials made him sound better then ever, real time effects on his voice and a consistent balance over all, not just set it and hope for the best. Call Lee 602-410-2611 OR E-MAIL ME AT PROFSOUNDMAN@YAHOO.COM
Hardtailz is located on the South west corner of 35th ave and Bell rd. They offer food and plenty of parking

Hardtailz is the place to be Friday night to see this up and coming band.. You got Tony with killer vocals and Dave & Rob on guitar.
If you did not get out to Steelhorse last Sunday or Octane.

See you there!

We are currently looking for Hard Rock/Metal Bands that are looking to grow a fan base. Get some stage experience, and have a good time to play Open Mic at Club Mardi Gras on Sunday Nights.

If you would like to bring your band in. Contact us to arrange a time so we can sign your band up. If you haven't been able to contact us, you can also bring your gear in and we will fit you in wherever possible.
People without bands who are wanting to enjoy and support the local Hard Rock/Metal scene are also welcome. We hope to set a presence among the metal scene and offer open jams that will help promote networking, public relations and allow newer bands to gain experience.

Shows start at 9:00 and continue on till close. We have a PA setup. There are drink specials, good food and good times to be had by all.

Come out this Sunday to check it out and support your local Hard Rock/Metal music scene hosted by Tome.
